**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** Day Shift **Description:** Supervisor Medical Library - St. Mary's Hospital - FT Days POSITION SUMMARY: Plan and administer all aspects of the SPHP Health Sciences Library and Schools of Nursing libraries. Manage the budget, operations, collections, services, staffing, and information literacy programs. Provide information resources, tools, and expertise to further the strategic direction of SPHP. Shift Differentials, just to name a few. ​ **What you will do:** + Teach all information literacy classes, including research and technology skills, to new nurses (bi-weekly), other colleagues, and students at the Schools of Nursing + Assist colleagues across SPHP with complex research questions through in-person, email, phone, and virtual appointments + Run literature searches for colleagues across SPHP, locating scholarly academic sources on various topics + Request and process materials via interlibrary loan; maintain ILL statistics; ensure compliance with Copyright law + Train library staff on the usage of current and newer technologies and specific library procedures + Gain feedback from SPHP colleagues regarding books, databases, and other resources + Review and recommend policy/policy changes with input from library staff and observation + Interact with IT for higher-level IT requests that impact the libraries + Review, modify, and update SPHP materials in the serials management database and OPALs online catalog + Budget, order, and approve all library-related purchases for SPHP Health Sciences Library and Schools of Nursing libraries + Manage P-Card purchasing and reconciliation responsibilities + Purchase and manage database and online journal subscriptions, and books; submit invoices for payment + Assess usage of the collections, deaccession and add materials, and re-evaluate the configuration of library spaces + Responsible for the environment of library spaces + Explore technological solutions for library needs (printing, Wi-Fi access, database access, etc.) + Membership in the Nursing Research Council and Schools of Nursing committees as assigned + Manage and supervise library staff at School of Nursing libraries, including timecard responsibilities. + Oversight of collection management and development at Schools of Nursing libraries + Organize, schedule, and run Library Committee meetings for SPHP Health Sciences Library and staff at the Schools of Nursing + Attend annual conferences and other programs for professional development. **What you will need:** + MSIS or MLS degree for librarian position is required. + High level of accuracy. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills + Positive attitude and be self-motivated. + Attention to detail, multitasking. + Ability to travel between three libraries throughout the week. + High level of accuracy and attention to detail + Strong communication and interpersonal skills + Positive attitude and self-motivated + Ability to multitask. + Ability to supervise and motivate others. Pay Range: $24.60 - $34.10 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
