An opportunity exists for an experienced Pharmacy Director with a strong background in home infusion and acute care pharmacy services. This leadership role requires managing a skilled team and ensuring high-quality pharmacy operations, with a focus on sterile compounding for IVs, hydration, TPNs, antibiotics, and developing capabilities in IVIg therapies. The position demands meticulous oversight of pharmacy staff and compliance with regulatory standards to support patient safety and operational excellence. Location: Chandler, AZ Type: Direct Hire Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM Key Responsibilities: Assist in directing pharmacy and operational functions alongside the Director of Pharmacy (DOP) Oversee and ensure compliance with all licensing, regulatory, and accreditation requirements Manage six pharmacists and 35 pharmacy technicians and warehouse staff Lead recruitment, hiring, and ongoing training of pharmacy personnel Establish process goals, conduct staff meetings, and perform performance evaluations Provide clinical monitoring and manage sterile compounding activities Handle patient concerns, on-call responsibilities, and act as Pharmacist in Charge in DOP absence Maintain inventory and enforce safety protocols in line with USP 797 standards Participate in company performance improvement initiatives and inspection surveys Qualifications and Desired Experience: Pharmacy Degree with active Arizona Board of Pharmacy license Minimum 1 year supervisory experience At least 1 year experience in hospital, clinic, and home infusion pharmacy environments Proficient with pharmacy management software (CareTend preferred) and spreadsheet tools Comprehensive knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws, including sterile compounding best practices Strong organizational, decision-making, and leadership skills Competencies: Effective delegation and staff development Excellent customer service and communication skills Dependability and ability to work independently Team leadership and collaboration This confidential search requires discretion throughout the hiring process.
