Job Title: PharmacistDepartment: PharmacyImmediate Supervisor Title: Pharmacist In Charge or Chief Operating OfficerJob Supervisory Responsibilities: Pharmacy StaffEssential Job Responsibilities:Comply with all applicable company policies and proceduresService and satisfy customers' health care needs in and out of the pharmacy areaMaintain professional rapport with ordering physiciansProcess prescriptions in a timely and accurate mannerCoordinate/implement the training and development of pharmacy technicians, intern, and other pharmacistsProvide counseling and guidance to staff as neededPerform annual pharmacy employee evaluationsMaintain inventory levelsParticipate in store operational meetingsPull outdated, damaged and recalled merchandise and prepare for returnMaintain daily and weekly reportsEnsure compliance with all Federal and State laws, rules and regulationsPerform other duties as assignedEducation: Graduate of an accredited College of PharmacyExperience: One year Pharmacist experience preferred.Other Requirements: BSPh License and hold a current Ohio Pharmacist LicensePerformance Requirements:Knowledge:Knowledge of organization services available to customers.Knowledge of product location within the store to be able to direct customers.Knowledge of phone system, especially calls for refills and new prescriptions.Skills:Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to learn the proper use of mechanical equipment utilized in this position.Ability to talk with other healthcare professionals in a professional, businesslike manner.Abilities:To handle stressful situations in a professional manner.Ability to work in a fast paced environment for extended periods of time.Ability to adapt to change.Ability to meet continuing education requirements.Ability to occasionally lift/move items up to 75pounds.Equipment Operated: Pill counting machines, computers, standard retail machines to include POS system, telephones, copy machines, fax machines.Work Environment: This position is in a fast paced, retail pharmacy environment. Also entails evening and weekend work.Mental/Physical Requirements: Involves standing and walking 90% of the time.
