The role involves monitoring and interpreting hemodynamic data. Observes sterile techniques while assembling supplies for procedures. Maintains patient and unit confidentiality. Prepares entry site applicable to the procedure using sterile techniques. Continuously monitors patient's ECG and blood pressure, documenting all activity accurately. Participates in an on-call rotation for emergent procedures available 24 hours a day. Acts as part of the emergency response team initiating resuscitative measures under physician supervision. Documents all performed procedures and utilizes established inventory control systems. Participates in educational and in-service opportunities. Instructs radiography students on patient positioning, technique selection, and equipment use. Maintains specialization in neuroradiology and vascular IR procedures. Participates in inventory management of the department. Checks and prepares patients prior to procedures. Engages in performance improvement activities. Scrubs are provided for use during procedures. The unit performs anywhere from 20-30 cases daily depending on provider coverage. The facility utilizes advanced imaging equipment for various procedures. Call requirements include 1-2 shifts per week. Holidays may require being on call as well. A 30-minute call back time is expected.
