DescriptionHospital Pharmacy TechnicianPosition SummaryWe are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to support inpatient pharmacy operations at Sakakawea Medical Center. This role focuses on safe and efficient medication preparation, distribution, and inventory management within a hospital environment. The technician will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist and collaborate with both clinical and non-clinical departments such as nursing, purchasing, and accounts payable.Primary ResponsibilitiesPrepare, label, and unit dose inpatient medications in accordance with hospital protocolsRestock and maintain automated dispensing cabinets (Omnicell) in patient care areasConduct inventory checks and assist with receiving and stocking medicationsAssists with billing related functionsMaintain accurate documentation and comply with regulatory and safety standardsCommunicate effectively with nursing and other departments regarding medication needsRequirementsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentActive Pharmacy Technician license (as required by ND state regulations)Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferredFamiliarity with EMR systems and automated dispensing technology preferredStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work both independently and as part of a healthcare team
