We offer a collaborative environment with excellent benefits, wage/salary commensurate with experience and relevant work experience.To provide comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents, promoting their health and well-being within a family-centered environment at CFMC.Job Functions/Responsibilities: Conduct thorough physical examinations, obtaining complete medical histories and assessing patients' developmental progress. Diagnoses and treat illnesses, injuries, and other health conditions specific to pediatric patients. Prescribe and administer medications, therapies, and immunizations following established pediatric guidelines. Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work, X-rays, and other imaging studies, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning. Counsel and educate patients and their families on preventative care, healthy lifestyles, nutrition, and safety measures. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, specialists, and therapists, to provide coordinated and comprehensive care. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting patient encounters, diagnoses, treatment plans, and outcomes. Participate in continuing medical education activities to stay abreast of the latest advancements in pediatric medicine. Adhere to all relevant ethical and legal standards, including patient confidentiality and informed consent. Provide compassionate and supportive care to patients and their families, addressing their concerns and fostering a positive patient experience. Participate in hospital rounds and attend deliveries as needed. Manage and treat common pediatric illnesses, such as infections, respiratory problems, and allergies. Address developmental and behavioral issues in children and adolescents. Provide guidance and support to parents on childcare, breastfeeding, and other parenting concerns. Advocate for the health and well-being of children within the community. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall enhancement of pediatric care services at Cumberland Family Medical Center. Other duties as assigned. Required Experience: Demonstrated experience in providing comprehensive pediatric care, including well-child visits, acute illness management, and chronic disease management. Experience working with diverse pediatric patient populations. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.Required Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with children, adolescents, and their families. Strong clinical skills and judgment. Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team. Ability to maintain accurate and detailed medical records. Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. Current and unrestricted medical license in the state of practice. Current DEA registration. BLS/PALS certification.Required Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school Completion of an accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology (American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology or equivalent) Active and unrestricted Kentucky medical license (or eligibility for licensure) Current DEA registration and Kentucky Controlled Substance License Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificationSchedule Requirements:Full-time position, 4 days per week, 100% clinic-based, in person work required.Work schedules are set at the discretion of CFMC and may be adjusted at any time based on the operational needs of the organization.
