Per Diem Pharmacist Opportunity - Support a Team Serving Tucson Area Pharmacies This per diem role offers a dynamic opportunity to join a 2-3 pharmacist team supporting multiple pharmacy locations in and around Tucson, AZ. These pharmacies operate within a combined retail and food environment, serving an average daily prescription volume of 100-125. You will be an essential part of a flexible coverage model, stepping in to cover call-outs, vacations, and fluctuations in workload across various sites. Location: Tucson, AZ area (primarily around Rillito) Schedule: Monday through Saturday, typically 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with some pharmacies open until 8:00 p.m. Hours may vary; shifts are based on coverage needs Ideal candidates are available 2-4 days per week Key Responsibilities: Provide expert pharmacy services in retail settings, including pharmacist-only locations Support prescription dispensing and verify accuracy Utilize strong teamwork and communication skills for training and collaboration Manage immunization delivery per state regulations Use QS1 pharmacy system efficiently Qualifications: Minimum 1-2 years of retail pharmacy experience; preference for candidates with 5+ years for top compensation Valid AZ pharmacist license with no restrictions Immunization privileges and current BLS certification required Experience with QS1 is a strong plus Ability to complete required training shifts (one 8-hour training shift provided, with additional training as needed) Benefits & Perks: Competitive pay rate based on experience Mileage reimbursement for commutes over 30 miles ($0.50 per mile) Travel expenses covered for trips over 75 miles, including meals ($50 per shift) and hotel accommodations as needed Opportunity to gain experience within a large network of pharmacies in the greater Tucson and Phoenix areas This per diem role provides flexibility, valuable retail pharmacy experience, and the chance to contribute to a team-oriented environment.
