Director, Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)Location: Asheville, NCCompensation: $125,000 - $160,000 base salary + incentive bonusSign-On Bonus: Case-by-caseRelocation: Case-by-caseSchedule: Full-Time, Days, Administrative Hours (No Weekends)She Recruits is seeking an accomplished CVOR Director to lead a dedicated cardiovascular operating room program. This role is an exceptional opportunity to focus exclusively on cardiac surgical services, as the CVOR is fully separate-physically, financially, and operationally-from the main OR. The Director oversees clinical operations, strategic planning, financial performance, staff leadership, and patient care quality for a six-room CVOR with a strong surgical volume and a specialized cardiac team.Role Overview:The CVOR Director leads departmental operations, programs, and initiatives in alignment with organizational strategic goals. This leader integrates evidence-based practice into clinical and operational processes, promotes research where applicable, and uses clinical, HR, and financial data to support sound decision-making. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, establishing departmental goals, fostering professional nursing practice, and supporting leadership growth and development. The Director retains full accountability for department outcomes, even when tasks are delegated to other leaders.Key Responsibilities:• Establish strategic goals for the CVOR that align with organizational priorities• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation for the cardiovascular service line• Direct daily operations to ensure every patient receives safe, efficient, high-quality care with an excellent overall experience• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting bodies• Promote a professional practice environment grounded in relationship-centered leadership• Integrate evidence-based practice and support the nursing research culture• Support leadership development and foster team engagement and retention• Use clinical, HR, and financial data to guide operational and strategic decisions• Maintain accountability for CVOR performance and outcomes across all service areasQualifications:• Master's Degree in Nursing OR BSN with MBA, MHA, or related healthcare-focused graduate degree required• National Nursing Leadership Certification required within one year of hire (or per commitment letter)• RN license and BLS required• Minimum 3 years of progressive leadership experience required• Preferred: 5 years of progressive leadership experience• Strong computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and hospital information systems• Open-heart surgical experience required
