This contract opportunity is for an Onsite Behavior Intervention Specialist (BIS) for the 2025-2026 school year, based in Anoka, MN. The position supports four elementary schools within the district and involves working collaboratively with another BIS and a Special Education Administrator. Key Responsibilities: Consult and implement positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS) to promote student progress. Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop strategies to reinforce positive behaviors. Utilize de-escalation techniques and redirect inappropriate behaviors; may require use of restrictive procedures. Assist in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) in compliance with federal and state regulations. Provide training to school staff regarding behavioral recommendations. Maintain a safe learning environment for all students. Use data-driven decision-making to inform behavior programming. Adapt flexibly to students' needs and respond calmly during crisis situations. Ensure compliance with school policies and administrative guidelines. Perform additional duties as directed by the Director of Special Education. Qualifications: Licensed as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Special Education Teacher with a Tier 3 or 4 license. Experience working within school settings providing behavioral supports. Ability to collaborate effectively with educational teams. Strong communication and training skills. Commitment to student safety and positive learning environments. Hours and Schedule: Approximately 18.75 hours per week, typically Monday from 8:30 AM to 4:10 PM, with some variation.
