We're hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Portland, ME where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.Minimum Requirements: Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.Current Maine respiratory care license in good standing with the State License Board.Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.Minimum 3 years of clinical respiratory therapy experience, including acute care and critical care settings.BLS required. ACLS preferred.NRP required for candidates who will cover NICU assignments.Experience with ventilators and advanced airway management, including Dräger V500/VN500, Hamilton T1/C1, Respironics V30/V60, Trilogy line, Airvo, and Vapotherm preferred.Experience with EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems preferred.Ability to float across clinical areas, including adult acute and critical care, ED, and some NICU/PICU shifts.Flexible team player with strong communication skills and ability to work in a tertiary, teaching hospital and Level 1 trauma environment.Preferred: prior NICU/PICU or cardiothoracic experience.Assignment DetailsFacility type: Hospital.Shift name: Days.Shift hours: 0700-1900.Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.Call requirements: yes.
