VeloSource has an Orthopedics Trauma opportunity open to Physicians near Scranton, Pennsylvania, less than 2hours away. - This position will work 3-7 days on (24hr coverage) in a rotating pattern with our current ortho trauma physician/medical director to secure coverage- The attending surgeon would come to the hospital and may be asked to see our patients in our clinic- Active PA License and Licensure - DEA Required: Yes - Board Status: Board Certified - Required Certifications: CPR - Minimum Years Experience : 3- 24hr Call: Mon -Sun 6a-6a - Typical Day: Morning rounds with the PAs around 6:00am then goes to either OR or clinic depending on the day. Monday: OR all day; Tuesday: OR block ; Wednesday: OR all day; Thursday: Clinic all day; Friday: OR all day- On call for 24hrs during this week, help with ER patients- The PA will be the first response to any ER consult, they will examine the pt and send pics via cell phone to seek advice on how to proceed, they will call with anything that needs MD level of care- The PAs are on call 24hrs ever day as well.- You will have at minimum 1 or 2 PAs that support you that also work 7 days on/7 days off with 24 hr coverage- All ortho trauma consults go to the PA first and the PA will call the provider if needed- Procedures: ORIF Distal Radius; ORIF hip; ORIF humerus; Insert Intramedullary Nail; ORIF Clavicle; Irrigation/Debridement; Removal of Implanted Devices; ORIF Femur; Closed Reduction Radius/Ulna- EMR: Cerner/Epic- Typical Cases Seen: ORIF Distal Radius; ORIF hip; ORIF humerus- Insert Intramedullary Nail; ORIF Clavicle; Irrigation/Debridement; Removal of Implanted Devices; ORIF Femur; Closed Reduction Radius/Ulna- APP/Midlevel Coverage Available 1-2 will Support the Provider Contact VeloSource to discuss this job or any of our Locum Tenens opportunities nationwide.
