/n JOB TITLE: Child Care Teacher DEPARTMENT: Child Care/n /n CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt CATEGORY: Essential/n /n DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:/n /n * Design and follow a full schedule of activities and discover suitable teaching material/n * Responsible for overall supervision and daily class functionality/n * Balance your teaching between logical and social exercises/n * Provide basic care and caregiving activities/n * Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor or outdoor games, drawing etc) to enhance the child's abilities/n * Support emotional wellbeing of the children/n * Remain in constant communication with parents and update them on the progress of their children/n * Observe children's interactions and promote the spirit of concord/n * Identify behavioral problems and determine the right course of action/n * Collaborate with other colleagues/n * Adhere with teaching standards and safety regulations as established by organization policies and procedure/n * Supervise children at all times - in classroom, on playground, on field trips, during parties, etc./n * Report all injuries//accidents occurring during shift to Center Director/n * Be willing to gain more knowledge, experience, and training in the field of Early Childhood Development by attending Center staff meetings and local, state, regional, and national child care meetings//training./n * Maintain client, employee, and agency confidentiality./n * Maintain classroom in a clean and orderly manner./n * Other duties as assigned./n/n /n REQUIREMENTS:/n /n * BS or AA in Early Childhood Development, Child Development Associate (CDA), Certificate of Mastery (CoM), Certified Childcare Professional (CCP), or willingness to obtain CDA//CoM//CCP within 18 months of hire./n * At least one year of experience as classroom teacher in child care setting/n * Excellent knowledge of child development and up-to-date education methods/n * Ability to create lesson plans/n * Patience, flexibility and love for children/n * Strong communication and time management skills/n * Certificate in mandatory reporter, first aid and CPR or willing to obtain within the first month of employment./n * Be able to lift children assigned to your care multiple times daily/n * Must pass enhanced background check/n/n /n SUPERVISION:/n * Supervised by the Child Care Center Director./n /n SALARY LEVEL: /n * Annual Salary Range: $38,459.20 - $54,745.60","
