Job Summary We are looking for individuals to join our client's team as Interventional Technologist. Under general supervision, the Special Procedure Tech provides direct care pre, intra, and post for patients undergoing Heart and/or Vascular procedures to assist physicians and delivers quality patient/family centered care. The incumbent may be required to perform IV starts, prep patients, monitor hemodynamics, operate equipment, document procedures, vascular access site management, and provide patient/family education. Job Description Monitor patients undergoing routine invasive, interventional procedures. Provide intra-procedural technical support and quality patient/family centered care. May be required to perform and record hemodynamic/physiologic wave forms and calculations. Communicate effectively with co-workers, physicians, patients, families, and all ancillary departments while consistently demonstrating the Beaumont Standards. Perform quality assurance checks on technical equipment. Perform department skills validations. Maintain radiation safety standards for staff and patients in compliance with the Beaumont Radiation Safety Department. Required to take On Call per department schedule. IR Special Procedure Techs must be able to 1st assist physicians using sterile technique, and fully participate in 3D imaging, vascular, and cerebral cases if performed at the site. Cath Lab Special Procedure Techs, if performed at the site, must be able to utilize IVUS, FFR, OCT, ICE, EKOS. EP Lab Special Procedure Techs, if performed at the site, must be able to utilize ICE, participate in device Implants, and circulate in all other EP cases. Skills Required Must have scrubbing experience 2 years of relevant experience in EP, Cath Lab or IR. Required Education/Training/Certifications Associate's degree or equivalent in cardiovascular technology, basic science, paramedicine, exercise physiology, or related training/education required Interventional Radiology: Completion of an accredited radiography program (JRCERT) required Cath Lab/EP Lab: Graduate of a Cardiovascular Technologist program required Clinical experience required through completion of one of the above programs Registered Radiographer (R) - ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), required upon hire Cardiovascular (CV) or Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) - ARRT, minimum 2 years required; OR Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) - CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International), required upon hire, OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) - CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International), required upon hire Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA (American Heart Association), required within 180 days Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or American Red Cross, required upon hire Additional Requirements Shift: 6:30a-5p. 10hrs.
