In addition, our team serves as an important bridge to the broader community by actively demonstrating and promoting the mission of ACYR through collaboration, outreach, and service.The Success Coach supports students who may experience social, emotional interference with capacity to succeed within an educational environment. The Success Coach professionally assesses to provide and may refer intervention to help eliminate barriers in learning. Intervention may include the school, family, and/or community. The Success Coach professional relationship is dependent upon its highly confidential nature and may consist of initial assessment interview. Consultation with staff, family, crisis intervention, community referral and/or school-based support groups may be included in the assessment process to best support the student. The Success Coach assist with developing and planning strategies to help student achieve academic goals. Will also assist students with developing strong social skills, conflict resolution, and self-management to prepare for higher education and workforce. As a key member of our Opportunity and Engagement team, the Success Coach will partner with school administration, teachers, and leadership to develop and implement plans that provide specialized support for students throughout all program services. Key Result Areas  Role Responsibilities Incumbent is successful when they: Strategic Planning§ Can anticipate future trends and establish consequences accurately; has knowledge and perspective; can articulate credible visions of possibilities and likelihoods for the student and staff​  Direct Student Support· Assist Social Support Manager in the design, development and execution of student engagement, workshops, and planning of events for students or personnel· Provides direct services to students and their families, within a multi-cultural framework. May be required to provide crisis intervention (i.e., self-injury, suicide ideation, child abuse, grief/loss), and support groups Participant/Student Support and EngagementDevelop strong, trusting relationships with students and familiesEnsure accessible, culturally competent family engagement initiativesPromote equitable and inclusive practiceActs as a liaison between the School, Community, and families including, but not limited to home visits and access to community resources. Assist students with education and academic resources  Provide Case Management Services· Identify students who may experience hardships early to support strategies and intervention· Effectively timely case notes and documentation as required by services· Utilize tracking tools to ensure student outcomes are maximized Provide direct services for SNAP CAN permitted activities and supportProvide home visits when required· Assist with meeting all audit requirements as set forth by SNAP CAN policy and ACYR Opportunity and Engagement Participate in professional development activities.· Participate in professional development in accordance with the National Association of Social Work Standards and Arizona Department of Education· Stay current with trauma informed care and case management· Assist in providing training   Partner Engagement· Partner with mental health professionals and social service organizations · Advocate for policies and programs that address the root causes of trauma affecting students· Coordinate with internal and external partners (e.g., food banks, shelters, healthcare providers) to provide referrals· Provide information and acts as a liaison between the School, Community, and families this includes, but does not limit, home visits, community resources that assist the student· Assist and monitor students with achieving stated education, career and personal goals Minimum QualificationsUtilizes positive youth development practices in all levels of work Must be able to form connections with youth and families and have a compassionate understanding of the obstacles that opportunity youth may requireMust be willing to advocate for youth and families' needs and support referred Qualifications:Preferred QualificationsBachelors in related field or a minimum of 1 year experience in related fieldExperience working with opportunity youthYouth development, education, and workforce development are highly desirableTrained in trauma informed care, motivational interviewing, and crisis intervention Knowledge of community resources and supportBilingual fluent in Spanish and EnglishBicultural Required CompetenciesStrategicModels' Success BehaviorBuilds /Maintains Great Customer ServicesEnables Co-workers/Students to growPositive Influence to othersCoordinates ideas/resourcesGreat time managementFacilitation and presentation skillsEffectively Communicates Ideas to Resolves Complex ConflictsCommunication that is respectful and thoughtful of audienceAchieves ResultsAdaptableEarns others Trust and RespectTactful in Social SituationsTakes Personal Responsibility and AccountabilityBackground Check Employment with Arizona Center for Youth Resources (ACYR) may be contingent upon the successful completion of a background check. The background screening may include verification of references, employment history, education, and a criminal background check. Misdemeanor and/or felony convictions may disqualify a candidate depending on the nature of the offense, the number and severity of convictions, and the length of time since the offense occurred.ACYR is an at-will employer and any offer of employment with ACYR is contingent upon a successful completion of background check.Certification/Licenses/Other Requirements Must possess a valid Arizona Level II IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety. Must have a valid Arizona Driver License. The position involves energetic engagement and interaction between Arizona Center for Youth Resources (ACYR) team members and students. This position requires the ability to effectively communicate by expressing or exchanging ideas through spoken words to provide information to clients, students, or the public, and to convey detailed instructions clearly, accurately, and sometimes loudly or quickly when necessary.
