A per diem pharmacist opportunity is available at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and 340B pharmacy in Muncie, IN. The role operates Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a lunch break each day from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. No holidays or weekend shifts are required. The initial assignment covers January 29 and January 30. Responsibilities include preparing prescription orders for collection or delivery, managing inventory and equipment procurement, and applying best practices for storing prescription drugs and controlled substances. You will verify prescription details with healthcare providers as needed, maintain approved drug lists including expiration dates, and ensure the pharmacy's retail area is organized and compliant. The position also involves addressing customer requests, keeping accurate records of inventory, patient data, and insurance claims, and providing telepharmacy support. Collaboration with the Pharmacy Manager is essential to support staff needs and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations. The pharmacy utilizes Liberty RX software.
