We are currently seeking a logistics professional to serve as the Senior Manager of Transportation and Traffic Administration, based out of Denver, CO/. This role will have direct responsibility for Transportation and Ground Operations; Packaging/Shipping; Foreign Trade Zone Operations; Storage Warehousing; Vehicle Fleet Management/Maintenance; and Critical Test Conductor operations for moving spacecraft and all up round missiles/. This position has oversight over several Space sites in California, Colorado and Alabama/. This role works on issues where analysis requires in/-depth knowledge of organizational objectives and capabilities/. This includes inputs to contract proposal management requiring complex transportation solutions/. Assesses vehicle fleet capabilities against future work for Space Programs and advises on priority investment for capital funds/. Uses judgement to redirect on/-hand vehicles to best location and make business decisions for repair/disposal for fleet vehicles/. Daily duties include oversight of leaders who plan, schedule, and route inbound and outbound domestic and international shipments within a Foreign Trade Zone; assign LM CDL drivers to support intra/-campus and over the road distribution of tooling, equipment, HazMat, and critical flight hardware; manage long term storage warehouses; perform packaging/crating/shipping for items moving in the commercial domain; plan and execute transport of satellites and missiles/. Represents company with commercial vehicle carriers to request quotes/. Directs research on transportation methods, rates, and routing, and develops evaluation process to audit and monitor carrier performance/.
