A home infusion pharmacy with multiple locations nationwide is seeking a Lead Pharmacist in Charge to join their team on-site in New Castle, DE. This direct hire position offers the opportunity to manage and support specialized infusion therapies while playing a crucial role in patient care coordination. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Key Responsibilities: Provide specialized clinical support for managing complex infusion and specialty therapies. Oversee and participate in the preparation, compounding, and dispensing of complex medications. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and insurers to ensure timely medication delivery and efficient patient care. Educate patients on medication use, self-administration techniques, potential side effects, and adherence strategies. Maintain compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations while ensuring a safe and accurate medication environment. Maintain accurate patient records and pharmacy documentation. Qualifications & Desired Experience: Licensed pharmacist in Delaware; willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed, with licensure expenses covered by the employer. Minimum 2-3 years of infusion pharmacy experience. Prior experience as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) or Manager in an infusion pharmacy setting is strongly preferred. Familiarity with CareTend system is a plus. Strong clinical knowledge of specialty and infusion therapies. Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
