By connecting with us, you position yourself for opportunities that align with what you're looking for.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations and company policies.Conduct regular EHS inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.Develop, deliver, and track EHS training programs for all employees, including new hires and refreshers.Investigate all EHS incidents, near misses, and accidents, determining root causes and implementing preventive measures.Manage hazardous waste streams and ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal in accordance with regulations.Maintain and update EHS documentation, permits, and records as required by regulations and internal procedures.Develop and implement EHS programs such as Lockout/Tagout, confined space, chemical safety, and emergency preparedness.Recommended QualificationsBachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related technical field.3-5 years of progressive EHS experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other federal/state EHS regulations applicable to manufacturing operations.Proven ability to conduct hazard assessments, incident investigations, and develop/deliver effective EHS training programs.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience implementing EHS management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).Bonus QualificationsExperience applying Lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen) to EHS initiatives.ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) or ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety) Lead Auditor certification.Proficiency with EHS management software platforms (e.g., Cority, Gensuite, Intelex).Demonstrated ability to analyze EHS data, identify trends, and develop predictive metrics.Job Titles That Should ApplyEnvironmental Health & Safety Specialist, EHS Specialist, Health & Safety Specialist, Safety Specialist, HSE Specialist, Occupational Health & Safety Specialist, Environmental Compliance Specialist, Safety Coordinator, EHS Officer, Workplace Safety Specialist, Health and Safety AdvisorWhy Pivot GroupThe Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
