Our Pharmacy in Bakersfield is hiring a Pharmacy Supervisor to lead our team of Pharmacists who are responsible for the production of high-quality, safe, and efficient compounded preparations. The person in this role will oversee our Pharmacists in daily operations, ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, quality and SOPs, and drive continuous improvement in compounding processes.When will you work?The pharmacy is open Monday - Friday 8:15am-5:15pm.What you'll do:Lead, coach, and develop a team of pharmacists, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learningSet clear, specific productivity and quality expectationsSupport all facets of Wedgewood's operations as necessary to ensure high quality customer service and effective workflow within the organization Work collaboratively with other pharmacists and pharmacy staff to complete compounded orders Comply with USP , and regulationsAssist PIC and support staff selecting drugs from stock for dispensing and compounding preparations.Provide regular feedback to the leadership team in Bakersfield.Identify and recommend improvements to formulations.Maintain the highest level of quality.Knowledge of pharmacy equipment and supplies.Ensure patient and company information remains confidentialAdhere to all applicable company policies and state/federal regulationsCollaborate interdepartmentally to provide, or ask for, assistance regarding compounding or staffing as dictated by business needs.Maintain accurate records and systems to ensure that compounding team members are adequately trained on and are continually adhering to all measuring, mixing, packaging, and labeling steps Who you are:Strong CommunicatorDetailed Oriented with a focus on bringing high quality workA Pharmacy Leader and Business Partner Decision MakerWhat you've done:Graduate from an accredited school of pharmacy with a bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy (Pharm D) and licensed in good standing with the California State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacist.2 years experience managing the efforts of others in a pharmacy lab setting2-5 years of compounding experienceAbility to monitor and obtain compliance with organizations policies and expectationsProven ability to lead by example, communicate with and motivate team members.Possess strong understanding USP 795, USP 797, State Board of Pharmacy regulations, Section 503A of the Federal FD&C Act Experienced in mentoring and developing pharmacists Proficient with Microsoft Office software What's in it for you:A comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and flexible spending accounts401(k) retirement plan with a generous company contribution to help you save for the futureCompany Paid Life and disability insuranceAccess to voluntary insurance optionsA generous paid time off program that increases every yearTuition reimbursementOpportunity for growth - We believe in promoting from within and do so through our internal job posting program!Compensation: We offer a competitive salary package with a base range of $160K-$185K base + bonus commensurate with experience.About UsWedgewood is the nation's largest and most trusted provider of compounded veterinary medications.
