Seeking an experienced cardiac sonography professional with expertise in imaging-ultrasound general-to provide high-quality outpatient care. The ideal candidate brings advanced clinical skills, strong judgment, and the ability to work autonomously. This contract role focuses on moderate-complexity echocardiographic exams and operates across several outpatient locations. Schedule/Hours: Full-time, 5 days per week Approximately 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM Outpatient sites will rotate between Scarborough, Kennebunk, and Biddeford Key Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Sonography or equivalent clinical experience Certification in cardiac sonography (ARDMS or CCI)-required Active BLS certification-required At least 5 years of hands-on cardiac ultrasound experience Skilled in performing transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms Competent in starting IVs and administering Definity contrast agents Preferred familiarity with Philips EPIQ ultrasound systems and Epic EMR Primary Responsibilities: Conduct moderate-complexity echocardiographic exams with clinical accuracy and efficiency Identify and report abnormal findings, exercising sound clinical judgment Manage a caseload of up to 7 full echocardiograms and 1 limited study per day Complete prereads for all daily studies and adhere to established departmental protocols Document and communicate results according to quality standards and regulatory guidelines Function independently with minimal onboarding, adapting to variable outpatient locations What's Offered: A collaborative, professional environment Opportunity to make a significant impact in patient cardiac care Exposure to advanced ultrasound technology and workflows Highly qualified cardiac sonography professionals who excel in outpatient settings are encouraged to apply and contribute their expertise.
