The typical schedule is based on a 7.5-hour workday aligned with the school calendar, with specific calendar days to be determined by the district. You can expect to work standard school hours, Monday through Friday, with evenings and weekends free to enjoy the local area and nearby this role, you will conduct comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations for students referred for Occupational Therapy, including those receiving services in resource and self-contained settings. Your daily responsibilities will include developing and implementing individualized treatment plans and IEP goals, delivering direct and consultative OT services, and monitoring progress throughout the school year. You will collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, related service providers, and families to support students functional skills in the classroom, on the playground, and across the school environment.You may work across one or more school sites within the district, depending on caseload needs. The caseload will focus on elementary and middle school students with a variety of needs, including fine motor and handwriting difficulties, sensory processing challenges, self-care skill development, and support for students with developmental, neurological, or physical disabilities. The mix of resource and self-contained classrooms offers opportunities to tailor interventions to both inclusive general education environments and more structured special education settings.A typical day may include completing student assessments, providing individual and small-group OT sessions, consulting with teachers about classroom accommodations, updating documentation in the districts electronic systems, and participating in team or IEP meetings as scheduled.
