The Area Agency on Aging is seeking a dedicated Senior Center Services Director 1 to lead programs that promote health, independence, and social engagement while supporting a vibrant community center for seniors. DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role you will be tasked with providing leadership and administrative oversight for the center's operations and nutrition programs. Work involves directing and supervising congregate meal services, nutrition education, socialization activities, as well as health and wellness programs. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with agency's Advisory Counsel and Center Operators to develop community-based programs such as health screenings, life skills training, and consumer education. Work also involves coordinating the annual Farmers Market Check Vouch Program, preparing program and budgets reports, and monitoring transportation services. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: * Three (3) years of experience in a food service, social service or recreation program, including one (1) year in an administrative, supervisory or consultative capacity or one (1) year as a Senior Center Manager. College or business school may be substituted on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of two (2) years for the general experience; or * Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
