Position Type: Curriculum/Curriculum Specialist Date Posted: 4/14/2026 Location: Celeste Graves Education Service Center Date Available: 2026-27 School Year Closing Date: Open   Additional Information: Show/Hide MAGNOLIA ISD Position: Specialist - State testing/LPAC/Data Specialist Pay Grade: Professional Salary Schedule Wage/Hour Status: Exempt Reports to: Chief Academic Officer Calendar: 212 Days Revised: April 2026 ____________________________________________________________________________ Education/Certification * Bachelor's degree * Master's degree preferred * Texas valid teacher certification Special Knowledge/Skills: * Specific knowledge of state assessments and compliance * Demonstrate organizational and technology skills, with advanced skills in Excel and data analysis * General knowledge of the Language Proficiency Assessment Committee (LPAC) process * Specific knowledge of assessment, lesson design, and delivery * General knowledge of professional learning communities * Detailed knowledge of data disaggregation to drive instruction * General knowledge of serving special populations of learners * Excellent communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills * Effective oral and written communication skills Required Experience: * At least five years of successful teaching experience * Experience with campus testing and the LPAC process * Experience in the development, preparation, and presentation of professional development preferred * Experience in facilitation of professional learning communities preferred Job Duties: * Facilitate the LPAC process for the district * Serve as the District Testing Assistant (DTA) * Lead the district data disagregation process * Collaborate with campus principals on current data * Support state assessment activities, including such duties as ordering/distribution/collection of secure materials, planning/creating/conducting training to a variety of stakeholders/departments, preparing data downloads, and supporting campus personnel with all state assessment activities * Assist campus personnel with the training and use of testing-related software programs such as TestHound, College Board (PSAT 8/9), NAEP, and the Cambium platforms - TIDE, TDS, TFAR, Interims, and CRS * Assist in student registration, ensuring demographic information and accommodations are accurately reported for testing and accountability purposes * Serve as a liaison between DAEP, JJAEP, and residential facilities to ensure students receive proper testing access, materials, and support for state assessments * Assist in coordinating student assessment logistics by identifying students who take an alternate assessment, special administration, or paper assessment to ensure all appropriate materials are accurately ordered and received * Other duties as assigned Administrative Support: * Attend district-level training and provide campus-level professional development in district initiatives * Provide ongoing feedback to campus administration to be used as a means to improve instructional delivery * Work with the content director, content coordinator, and all curriculum department personnel to ensure the vertical alignment of curriculum and integration of other content, areas as needed * Assist with the implementation and monitoring of district initiatives * Attend department and district meetings/trainings as assigned Personal Skills: * The ability to work effectively with adult learners * The ability to skillfully offer constructive feedback to facilitate change * The ability to be flexible, open, and willing to implement new ideas in the classroom * The ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities, projects, and tasks * The ability to work and contribute to a team * The ability to seek resources and solutions to effectively solve problems
