Sonography-Echo Tech | Permanent Role Location: Dallas, TX, 75226 Assignment Duration: Permanent Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Guaranteed: 10 Hours Compensation: Based on experience. Responsibilities: Perform and document echocardiograms and related diagnostic ultrasound procedures. Explain procedures to patients and answer their questions to ensure comfort and cooperation. Utilize appropriate sonographic techniques and protocols for each type of cardiovascular ultrasound. Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers. Follow infection control policies and safety standards consistently. Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA). Ensure proper operation and care of ultrasound equipment and related technology. Assist with quality improvement efforts and participate in continuing education and training. Key Success Factors: Knowledge of complex sonographic instrumentation and techniques. Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology. Ability to clearly explain exams to patients and respond to questions with compassion and clarity. Familiarity with approved clinical protocols and infection control procedures. Proficiency in medical terminology and documentation. Ability to collaborate with physicians and clinical teams effectively. Skilled in using medical imaging systems and electronic health record (EHR) platforms. Qualifications: Education: Graduate of an Accredited Sonography Program or At least 2 years of work experience in a similar role beyond the minimum qualification. Experience: Less than 1 year of experience required (new graduates may be considered). Certifications/Licensure: Basic Life Support (BLS) - must be obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer. One of the following at time of hire/transfer: Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) - through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) - through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
