Early Childhood Assessment Team Summer Evaluations (Early Intervention/Early Childhood)- Psychologist Program Dates Testing takes place in June and July based on the established testing schedule. Staff Hours Hours are determined based on the testing schedule and occur between 8:00am - 4:00pm. Each evaluation takes approximately 5 hours to complete. Hourly Rate of Pay $650 per evaluation Special Requirements * Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a school psychologist preferred * Demonstrated experience conducting play-based, transdisciplinary evaluations with preschool-aged children * Training in or familiarity with the Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessment (TPBA) model by Toni Linder preferred * Experience with cognitive, developmental, and social-emotional assessment tools appropriate for young children * Experience writing and contributing to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) * Bilingual in Spanish preferred Licensure, Certification, and Other Requirements * Master's degree or higher in School Psychology from an accredited institution * Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Strong understanding of early childhood development and the role of play in assessment * Knowledge of authentic, play-based, and curriculum-based assessment practices * Ability to embed assessment within naturalistic, play-based interactions * Skill in observing, documenting, and interpreting child behavior across developmental domains during play * Ability to integrate data from multiple disciplines within a transdisciplinary framework * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families * Strong organizational skills and ability to manage timelines * Cultural and linguistic responsiveness when working with diverse populations Essential Functions * Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations using play-based, transdisciplinary assessment approaches * Actively participate in team-based evaluation sessions utilizing the TPBA model when appropriate * Observe and assess children in structured and unstructured play environments * Embed standardized and non-standardized assessment strategies within play routines * Interpret cognitive, developmental, and social-emotional data within the context of functional play skills * Collaborate with team members during live, play-based assessment sessions to gather integrated data * Write clear, concise, and compliant evaluation reports that reflect functional, play-based observations * Develop and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) * Participate in eligibility and IEP meetings as needed * Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all legal and ethical standards
