What You'll Be Doing The Economic and Social Services Division in Wake County is looking for an Eligibility Case Manager I to join our Family and Children Medicaid Dual team. This job posting will be located onsite two days per week at SouthLight HealthCare in Garner. This role involves determining initial and ongoing eligibility for Medicaid programs, working closely with center patients, and interacting with center staff. The work is fast-paced, deadline-driven, and requires independence and focus. Key Responsibilities: * Enter required data and documentation into NCFAST and other electronic systems to authorize benefits. * Assess information to determine eligibility for Medicaid programs (initial and ongoing). * Respond to client inquiries, phone calls, emails, and requests for information * Provide required notifications of information needed and case outcomes * Manage queues and workflows in OnBase, NCFAST, and other systems * Complete daysheets, timesheets, and case action forms Orientation & Training We provide intensive training for new hires - (i.e., program, systems, etc.) Formal training normally lasts 2 to 3 months from its start date. Training requires testing in some areas, with a passing grade expectation of normally 80% upon completion. You would be expected to attend at least 90% of our new hire training. Training is in person and mandatory. Training is provided to assist in your success as a new employee. After training, a hybrid work schedule may be available. The Basics (Required Education and Experience) * High school degree or GED * Two years of related experience * Equivalent education and experience are accepted * Please include ALL prior work experience on your application and resume.
