About the job CAD DesignerCAD Designer (Remote Possible) Pharmaceutical ManufacturingLocation: Bloomington, IN Flexible/Remote (with potential site visits as needed)Industry: Pharmaceutical ManufacturingEmployment Type: ContractAbout The RoleWe are seeking a skilled CAD Designer. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a fast-paced, innovative group supporting critical facility and process upgrades. Our ideal candidate will have experience in architectural, electrical, and P&ID (Piping & Instrumentation Diagram) CAD work, and will collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams. Remote work is available and encouraged for the right candidate.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate, revise, and maintain CAD drawings to support architectural layouts, electrical schematics, and P&IDs for a pharmaceutical manufacturing siteCollaborate remotely and onsite with process engineers, architects, and electrical engineering teams to gather requirements and execute drawing updatesDevelop and manage drawing packages for project submittals, permitting, and constructionIncorporate project specifications, site sketches, and markups into detailed CAD designsCoordinate with QA/QC, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with industry standards and company practicesAssist in document control and version management for all CAD deliverablesParticipate in remote design reviews and provide recommendations for drawing improvementsEnsure that CAD layouts comply with relevant codes and cGMP/regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical facilitiesRequirementsProven proficiency in AutoCAD (or equivalent CAD platforms) with a portfolio supporting architectural, electrical, and/or process (P&ID) designMinimum 2 years CAD experience (pharmaceutical, biotech, or related FDA/regulated industry highly preferred)Ability to work efficiently in a remote environment while staying communicative and responsive to project updatesFamiliarity with typical pharmaceutical facility layouts, clean room design, and electrical system integration is a plusExperience with P&ID standards and coordination between disciplines (process, architecture, MEP)Strong teamwork, organizational, and communication skillsSelf-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple design packagesPlease note: This position does not offer visa sponsorship.
