In this role, you will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair transport category aircraft at both maintenance bases and remote locations. This position requires extensive technical knowledge, flexibility, and the ability to travel for AOG recovery and special projects worldwide. Candidates must be based in Anchorage, Chicago, Miami, New York, or Los Angeles... or be willing to relocate. Relocation assistance may be provided.Key ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot technical discrepancies and execute repairs on company aircraftAccomplish aircraft inspections in accordance with company and FAA proceduresUtilize electronic test equipment, voltage/amperage measuring tools, and navigation troubleshooting equipmentRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and technical ordersInspect and assist in maintenance of company equipment and toolingCollaborate with contract maintenance personnel and communicate discrepancies to Maintenance ControlEnsure all aircraft documentation is completed accurately before departureProvide guidance to mechanics on advanced tasks and coordinate inspections/repairsOrganize daily tasks, coordinate tooling/materials, and support on-time aircraft departuresPerform manual and aircraft parts inventories as requiredFollow all safety measures, shop practices, and cleanliness standardsRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentValid FAA Airframe & Powerplant CertificateMinimum 7+ years of transport category aircraft maintenance experience (Boeing series preferred: 737, 777, 747-400, 747-800)RII authorization requiredUnrestricted engine run qualifications on 737, 777, and 747 aircraftBore scope qualified on CFM, Pratt & Whitney, or GE-90 enginesFormal training on advanced systems/avionics for 737, 777, and 747 aircraftValid passport with the ability to travel regularly for AOG recovery and projectsSkills & AbilitiesAbility to read, write, and fluently communicate in EnglishStrong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skillsProficiency in Microsoft software and digital aircraft manualsStrong work ethic with the ability to work in variable weather conditionsAbility to lift heavy parts and equipment as requiredWillingness to work rotating schedules including nights, weekends, and holidaysAbout STS Technical ServicesSTS Technical Services is a Top 100 Staffing Firm partnered with the largest names in aerospace, manufacturing, defense, and industrial industries.
