We are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer / Senior Consultant to join our growing practice. This is a client-facing, high-impact role at the intersection of cloud data engineering and business intelligence. You will design and build end-to-end data solutions that span source system integration (AWS, SAP, and others), Snowflake-based data warehousing, and Power Platform delivery layers that put insights directly in the hands of decision-makers.You will work alongside clients and Amplytico delivery teams to solve complex data challenges - from architecting scalable pipelines to building polished, production-grade Power BI dashboards and Power Apps that business users actually adopt.Key ResponsibilitiesData Architecture & EngineeringDesign and implement end-to-end data architectures connecting source systems (AWS, SAP, operational databases, APIs) to SnowflakeBuild robust, scalable ELT pipelines using dbt, Azure Data Factory, Fivetran, or equivalent toolingModel data in Snowflake using best-practice layering (raw, staging, marts) for performance, maintainability, and governanceDefine and enforce data quality standards, schema conventions, and documentation practicesEvaluate and recommend integration patterns for complex multi-system environments common in utility operationsPower Platform DevelopmentDesign and build Power BI reports and dashboards with advanced DAX, complex data models, and polished executive-ready visualizationsDevelop Power Apps (canvas and model-driven) that embed analytics into operational workflows and field processesImplement Power Automate flows to automate data refresh, alerting, approvals, and business process triggersLeverage Dataverse as a structured data layer for Power Apps solutions where appropriateEnforce Power Platform governance standards including row-level security, workspace strategy, and deployment pipelinesClient Delivery & ConsultingLead client workshops and discovery sessions to define data requirements, KPIs, and solution architectureTranslate complex technical designs into clear, compelling narratives for both technical and executive audiencesManage solution delivery across the full lifecycle "” from scoping and design through build, testing, and hypercareProduce high-quality deliverables including solution design documents, architecture diagrams, and user documentationServe as a trusted technical advisor on client engagements, identifying opportunities to expand scope and add valueRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or BI developmentExpert-level proficiency in Power BI including complex data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and gateway managementHands-on experience building Power Apps and Power Automate solutions in enterprise environmentsDeep experience with Snowflake including data modeling, performance tuning, Snowpipe, and cost managementStrong SQL skills and comfort working with large, complex datasetsExperience integrating data from AWS services (S3, Glue, Lambda, RDS) into downstream analytical systemsExperience working with SAP data sources (BW extracts, HANA, OData) in an analytics contextAbility to work independently and lead workstreams on client engagementsPreferredExperience with Palantir Foundry or comparable enterprise data platformsFamiliarity with dbt and modern data stack patternsMicrosoft certifications: PL-300, PL-100, DP-203, or equivalentSnowflake SnowPro Core or Advanced certificationAWS certifications: Solutions Architect or Data Analytics SpecialtyExperience with Python for data transformation or automation tasksWork LocationThis position requires onsite presence at client locations and/or our San Francisco office up to 2 days per week. Learn more at CompensationAs required by California law, the yearly salary range for this position is $125,000 to $160,000. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
