The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing client and pursuit strategies, relationship management, leading business development activities, overall business financial management, contract management, and ensuring client satisfaction. The Project Manager is accountable for meeting new business and earnings financial goals; development of strong relationships with clients, teaming partners and contractors; driving business development; and selling the Black &Veatch full suite of services.Black & Veatch is a leading engineering, consulting and construction company. This team is ranked in the top 10 by ENR for Water Design Firms in Water Supply and Sewer Waste and other water-related rankings.Prepare and implement Client Development Plans for assigned clientsDevelop and maintain strong relationships with assigned clients, business partners, and competitorsDevelop client and pursuit strategiesLead or support proposal developmentMake Go / No Go decisions or recommendations and assist with preparation of Proposal Review Board documentsServe as the Client Director and provide leadership to project and pursuit teamsMeet new business and earnings financial goalsManage assigned business development budgetManage contracts and legal issuesManage and mitigate risksIdentify key client interests and drivers on projects and pursuits and communicate with team membersLeverage professional networking skills to help identify and pursue project opportunitiesSupervise and mentor project team membersManagement ResponsibilitiesActs as a project manager. Among responsibilities is management of a project team.
