Company: Highmark Health Job Summary: Work location policy: This role offers a hybrid work model. Candidates residing within 50 miles of a Highmark office will be required to work on-site Tuesday through Thursday. All other candidates will work remotely. This job serves as the delivery leader responsible for defining, owning, and delivering mid-size engagements designed to meet/exceed key performance metrics (e.g., admin cost reduction, process improvement, automation, medical cost/value improvement, and enhanced customer/provider experience) for specific clients within the organization. The incumbent manages 1-2 simultaneous client engagements, some individual, some with a team of clients, consultants, and other colleagues from the division. The incumbent demonstrates solid foundational knowledge of consulting principles and the delivery of practical outcomes and is adept at driving clear hypotheses, breakthrough analyses and actionable strategic insights for organizational and operational transformation. In doing so, the incumbent will have a good toolset for applying a strategic approach to problem"‘solving through quantitative analysis, financial modeling, hypothesis-based issue analysis and the use of strategic frameworks. The incumbent recognizes the important role technology plays in achieving and sustaining true transformation and keeps up with industry technology trends and their potential impact on the organization. Finally, the incumbent is a natural change agent, adept at navigating a heavily matrixed organization and influencing mid-level management and staff to transform their business. Essential Responsibilities Lead individuals, teams or multiple groups and play an active role in analyzing project goals, creating a plan to achieve those goals, and helping to drive the consulting team members, client stakeholders/SMEs and potentially other third parties to achieve those goals while understanding the client environment and any limitations to execution. Plan, organize, and manage all phases of a project lifecycle to ensure successful delivery. This includes developing and managing project governance plans, project schedules, team goals, team norms, defining success criteria, and project milestones. Responsible for creating engagement deliverables; and overseeing the development of deliverables from (senior) transformation consultants. Conduct detailed discovery meetings, collect requirements and gain mutual understanding of client needs followed by creating and positioning ideal solutions to resolve those needs. People responsibilities: Help with performance management, coaching, and targeted individual development activities for current project team members, in close collaboration with group leadership (VPs and Directors). Other duties as assigned or requested. Experience Required: 7 years of experience in the Strategy, Operations, Mergers and Acquisitions, or Human Capital Practice of a consulting firm or similar experience from a consulting-oriented role in a corporate environment or private equity firm. To Include: 3 years of management experience and/or experience leading teams and/or projects of varying size and complexity. 3 years of working in complex, matrixed environments or across multiple businesses. Preferred: 3 years of aggregate project experience from the Healthcare industry (payor and/or provider). Skills Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills. Strong business and financial acumen. Ability to apply creative and imaginative thinking to solve problems in innovative and/or unexpected ways. Ability to leverage exponential technologies (AI/ML, GenAI, Agentic AI) to transform business processes. Excellent storytelling and communication skills across verbal, written, and PowerPoint mediums; able to simply and concisely communicate complex ideas and concepts. Ability to influence without authority, work effectively with people across all levels of the organization. Ability to work in a collaborative manner, be an active listener; excellent facilitation skills. A flexible working style; comfortable working in team environments or autonomously. Orientation toward execution; consistently makes progress regardless of constraints or roadblocks. Courage and ability to have difficult conversations, e.g., in a 360"‘degree feedback setting. Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Operations, Information Technology, or closely related discipline. Preferred: None. Licenses or Certifications Required: None. Preferred: Lean Six Sigma Human Centered Design (HCD) Travel Required Less than 25%. Position Type Office-Based or Remote Position. Physical Work Site Required Frequently. Pay Range Minimum: $118,400.00 Maximum: $196,800.00 Base pay is determined by a variety of factors including a candidate's qualifications, experience, and expected contributions, as well as internal peer equity, market, and business considerations.
