Position Title: Core Faculty Department: Counseling Division, School of Counseling, Psychology, and Therapy Classification: Faculty, Full-time Reports to: Chair Location: Remote, with the ability to travel to campuses and other locations Start Date: July 1, 2026 Compensation: Antioch University offers a competitive compensation and benefits package that includes both direct and indirect pay. The compensation will be based on experience, education, knowledge, credentials, and a consideration of the difficulty and complexity of the position. The minimum salary for this position based on residential location, is: CA $73,150.00, WA $71,555.00, Other locations: $66,500.00. Antioch University Graduate School of Counseling, Psychology, and Therapy invites applications for a full-time Core Faculty member to join our progressive team in our Counseling Division, comprising two MA Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) programs and one PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision (CES) program. While this position is specifically to support the low residency PhD program, there will be opportunities to teach within the MA CMHC programs remotely or in person at the residency each term and/or within our weekend low residency programs. The low residential CES and CMHC programs at Antioch University are accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) encouraging a multicultural counselor identity appreciating diversity and human growth in context to social dynamics while also advocating for community justice, equity, and civil discourse. This is concurrent with an emphasis on systemic leadership, and supervisory skills needed to assist with organizational change and transformation. The Core faculty is responsible to maintain work in all four areas of faculty engagement at Antioch University (student learning, scholarship, institutional citizenship and service). This position will have a primary focus on both teaching (18 semester credit hours) and student academic, clinical, and research support. As a core faculty member in the counseling division, this individual is expected to be an experienced educator and supervisor, with an appropriate publication and presentation record and a working knowledge of alternative delivery models including technology-mediated/low-residency education. Position Overview The position has responsibilities that include: Direct instruction of 18 semester credit hours per academic year Engaging in student advising, dissertation committees, and comprehensive exam review Support of the Counseling Division, through committee, curriculum, and accreditation support Alignment with Antioch's Social Justice and Anti-Racism mission Meeting university expectations in scholarship, service, and institutional citizenship Engaging in program, department, campus, and school/university citizenship Engaging in ongoing department and program initiatives, particularly related to improvements in pedagogy and student engagement Support of Student Scholarship through dissertation committee chair/membership, conference presentations, and research mentorship QUALIFICATIONS Core Faculty must hold: An earned doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from a CACREP accredited program Core Faculty designation/eligible within the Counseling Department 4+ years successful teaching history at graduate level in counselor education State licensed as a mental health counselor (LMHC, LPCP or other) and/or national counseling credential Approved Supervisor credential (preferred) Record of administrative/leadership experience in higher education A reflective commitment to the training and supervision of multiculturally responsive and socially justice oriented counselors and counselor educators A clear history of service to the counseling profession and an interest in leadership A history of publication and presentation work at regional, national, and international levels A history of support of student scholarship through co-publication and co-presentation Experience with the PhD Dissertation process, serving as both member and chair of dissertation committees An understanding and demonstration of decolonized research methodology aligned with Antioch's Social Justice Mission Optimistic, collaborative, and proactive leadership skills Strong record of both online and on the ground teaching formats Skilled in demonstration-based teaching (faculty need to teach using real/live demonstration) and experiential learning Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to oversee various operational processes within the department at one time Excellent oral and written communication skills"”an additional interest in grant writing is preferred Ability to be flexible and working in an environment of expansion and change The University Antioch University is a multi-campus, coast-to-coast institution of higher learning that provides learner-centered education to empower students with the knowledge and skills to lead meaningful lives and to advance social, racial, economic, and environmental justice.
