Adjunct Faculty, BSN Program - Nursing Instructor (Alhambra Campus):Stanbridge University is seeking dedicated Adjunct Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Faculty to educate and mentor the next generation of professional registered nurses. This opportunity supports ongoing and future instructional needs across multiple specialty areas within the BSN program at the Alhambra campus.We are actively recruiting faculty with recent clinical experience in Medical-Surgical Nursing, Obstetrics (Maternal-Newborn), Pediatrics, Mental Health / Psychiatric Nursing, Community Health, and Nursing Leadership and Professional Practice. Teaching assignments are aligned with clinical expertise, program needs, and faculty availability.Adjunct faculty play a vital role in advancing student success by delivering high-quality instruction in the classroom, skills laboratory, and clinical setting. Through theory, hands-on skills development, and supervised clinical practice, faculty prepare students for safe, competent, and compassionate professional nursing practice.This role is ideal for clinicians who are passionate about teaching, mentoring, and shaping the future of nursing while maintaining flexibility in their schedules.High-Need Instructional Areas:Medical-Surgical Nursing (including acute/critical care)Obstetrics (Maternal-Newborn Nursing)PediatricsMental Health / Psychiatric NursingCommunity / Public Health NursingNursing Leadership, Professional Practice, or CapstoneAll specialty areas require a minimum of one (1) year of clinical nursing experience in the applicable content area within the past five (5) yearsClinical experience must be documented and verifiable in accordance with institutional, regulatory, and accreditation standardsEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Deliver clinical and/or theory instruction using approved course materialsDevelop instructional strategies that promote critical thinking and clinical judgmentEvaluate student performance using nursing standards and program competenciesFacilitate integration of theory into patient care practiceEnsure patient safety and compliance with clinical site and university policiesLead pre- and post-clinical conferences to reinforce learningEngage students in reflective practice and clinical reasoningFoster a professional learning environment that promotes accountability, integrity, and collaborationPromote student success through active engagement and instructional flexibilityMaintain accurate and timely records of grades, attendance, and student performanceMaintain current knowledge of clinical practice and instructional contentParticipate in department meetings and shared governance activities as requiredQualifications:Required:Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institutionCurrent, active, and unencumbered California Registered Nurse (RN) licenseMinimum of four (4) years of direct patient care experience as a Registered NurseMinimum of one (1) year of acute care experience within the past five (5) yearsRecent direct patient care experience within the past five (5) years in the assigned specialty area (e.g., Med-Surg, OB, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Community Health)American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers certificationUp-to-date immunization recordsProficiency in educational technology and basic computer applicationsPreferred:Prior teaching or clinical precepting experienceExperience teaching didactic and/or clinical courses in a nursing programFamiliarity with ATI and CourseKeyStrong interpersonal skills and a student-centered teaching philosophyCompensation:$50.00-$65.00 per hourCompensation is based on education, experience, specialty expertise, and internal equity considerationsWork Settings:Instruction may occur in classrooms, skills laboratories, acute care hospitals, community health settings, and other approved clinical sitesFaculty who are comfortable teaching across classroom, skills laboratory, and clinical
