Mission Ready Reserve (MRR) MRR MFLCs are trained and available counselors ready to serve when called upon. Working as a MRR MFLC allows counselors to focus wholeheartedly on helping others without administrative burdens. MRR counselors are assignment ready and may choose when to take an assignment. Responsibilities Face"‘to"‘face counseling to military Service Members and their families (individual, couples, family, and children). Recommend appropriate referrals and handoffs based on clinical skills to military and community resources. Offer presentations to address social skills development and social"‘emotional learning critical for childhood early development. Build rapport with Service Members, spouses, and children by attending installation and community events. Help families and children with challenges unique to the military community (transitions, moves, separations, deployments, and more). Environment At the direction of the Department of Defense, duties are performed approximately 60% in indoor locations (military installations, schools, child development centers) and 40% outdoors (uneven grassy, gravel, or dirt areas, stairs, weather exposure). Roles may involve sitting on the floor to interact with children for up to two hours at a time. Minimum Requirements Master's degree or higher in the Behavioral Health Professions (MS, MSW, MA, PhD). Valid independent license in the mental health field from any U.S. state or territory (LCSW, MFT, LPCC, Psychologist). U.S. citizenship. Pass a basic background check, Child National Agency Check, and NACI/CNACI clearance (Public Trust). Pay Range $28/hr - $50/hr.
