Position Pharmacy Program Specialist - Remote Overview This position is responsible for the performance of technically detailed pharmacy and benefit work affecting pharmacy and health plan operations, programs, and information systems in the Pharmacy Services Department of the Healthcare Experience & Operations Division. The role integrates technical pharmacy aspects with medical review, case management, mental health/chemical dependency, and quality management. Responsibilities include communicating directly with Providence Health Plan (PHP) Customer Service and PHP Members, PHP Network Pharmacies, and regulatory entities at the federal and state level, as well as pharmacists, nurses, physicians, and other health care providers regarding claims, medication management programs, and initiatives. Remote Work Eligibility This position fully supports remote work for applicants residing in the following states: Washington, Oregon, California. Responsibilities Perform pharmacy and benefit work that impacts pharmacy and health plan operations, programs, and information systems. Integrate technical pharmacy aspects with medical review, case management, mental health/chemical dependency, and quality management. Communicate directly with Providence Health Plan (PHP) Customer Service and PHP Members. Coordinate with PHP Network Pharmacies and regulatory entities at the federal and state level. Engage with pharmacists, nurses, physicians, and other health care providers and their staffs regarding claims, medication management programs, and initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Oregon Pharmacy Technician License or Oregon Certified Pharmacy Technician upon hire. 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician in a managed care environment, OR 3 years of pharmacy technician experience in a pharmacy. Preferred Qualifications Phlebotomy experience. Salary Range by Location California - Humboldt: $29.62-$45.31 per hour; All Northern California (except Humboldt): $33.23-$50.84; All Southern California (except Bakersfield): $29.62-$45.31; Bakersfield: $28.41-$43.47; Oregon - Non"‘Portland Service Area: $26.49-$40.52; Portland Service Area: $28.41-$43.47; Washington - Western (except Tukwila): $29.62-$45.31; Southwest - Olympia, Centralia & below: $28.41-$43.47; Tukwila: $29.62-$45.31; Eastern: $25.28-$38.68; South Eastern: $26.49-$40.52.
