Partner with the bestRole - As a Systems and Instrumentation Field Engineer, you will manage resources and logistics to perform services and maintenance activities at customer sites, including maintaining, repairing, and refurbishing Bently Nevada hardware and software as part of the Cordant Solutions package. Responsibilities Perform testing and validation of equipment, facilities, or plants to ensure compliance with design objectives and operational specifications. Install and configure Bently Nevada hardware and software for machine protection and monitoring. Respond to emergency repair requests and troubleshoot problematic equipment. Provide technical instruction and assistance to customers on installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance. Prepare technical reports, job status updates, material orders, quotations, and time/expense sheets. Communicate findings and recommendations clearly through reports and verbal communication. Maintain calibration of specialized tools and adhere to standardized project processes and guidelines. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED with at least 4 years of experience in instrumentation and/or process control (industrial environment preferred), OR Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electronics, Chemical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, or Electrical) from an accredited college or university, OR Equivalent experience in instrumentation and/or process control. Strong troubleshooting skills in electronics or mechanical systems; knowledge of hardware, Modbus, OPC, networking, and serial communication protocols. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows OS. Ability to travel 65-80% of the time, including weekends as required; valid passport and driver's license required. Eligibility for a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC). Working Style We recognize that everyone works differently. In this role, we offer flexible working patterns, including occasional remote work when not on customer sites. Expect up to 65-80% travel, with paid travel time, overtime for work exceeding 8 hours/day, and covered travel costs. Candidates for this role (office-based/ hybrid/ remote) must be located in or near the locations displayed above. The pay range represents Baker Hughes' good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum for this position at the time of this posting. Baker Hughes will issue a non-bia s competitive offer; the salary range reflects the projected hiring range for new hires, full-time salaries in some U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits. Location-based adjustments and experience may affect placement within the range. Your recruiter can share more during the hiring process. You will be eligible to participate in Company-sponsored benefit programs, including health & welfare programs and the Thrift Plan (401k). Coverage options and contributions depend on benefit elections, base salary level, and plan requirements. You will be eligible to participate in the Baker Hughes Short-term incentive plan applicable for this position. Payouts are based on company and individual performance and contingent on achieving pre-determined financial results. This position is eligible for our comprehensive benefits package and is eligible for additional compensation such as bonuses subject to plan terms.
