Overview Position can be filled as an Analyst II, III or Senior depending on the education and experience of the selected candidate. Work Place Flexibility: Hybrid. Legal Entity: Entergy Services, LLC. Job Summary/Purpose Responsible for development and implementation of processes required to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations. Job Duties/Responsibilities Support implementation and compliance in support of nuclear power stations of air and water discharge permits, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans, Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure, Waste Management (Hazardous, Non-hazardous, universal, etc.), Toxic Substances Control Act, Resource Conservation & Recovery Act, Green House Gas, Tier II. Provide general environmental regulatory compliance in support of nuclear power stations, including participation in conducting regulatory compliance audits and delivery of compliance training to target audiences. Become certified operator for Water and Wastewater treatment. Conduct ecological and environmental impact evaluations. Interface with needed regulatory agencies to ensure proper permitting. Provide oversight for outside vendors in completing environmental compliance tasks. Support project management teams, Engineering change requests, and refueling activities. Monitor legislative and regulatory rulemaking processes, monitor work practices and ensure work processes and procedures incorporate appropriate environmental regulatory compliance strategies. Provide 24-hour availability for management of environmental response contractors in emergency response actions to releases of hazardous chemicals. Manage records and documentation pertaining to compliance programs in accordance with the records retention policy. Participate as a team member of the Environmental Management system outage emergency operations and restoration organization for major storm events. Provide management and oversight of site contamination remediation projects. Participate in industry groups as needed. Minimum Requirements Minimum education required for the position Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering or other science-related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience. Minimum Experience Required Of The Position Analyst II: 2 years experience handling environmental compliance activities Analyst III: 3 - 5 years experience handling environmental compliance activities Sr Analyst: 5+ years experience handling environmental compliance activities Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position Applicant must be physically able to conduct field environmental investigations of sites where access may be restricted due to debris accumulations. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to prioritize and manage multiple work tasks simultaneously. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting. Strong attention to details. Strong analytical skills. Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills. Self starter and requires little or no supervision. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products. Excellent organizational skills, ability to organize and prioritize work. Ability to work effectively on multiple assignments. Flexible and able to adjust to changing priorities. Willing and able to perform other unrelated duties as required and learn new processes and technologies. Knowledge of power generation fundamentals a plus. Any Certificates, Licenses, Etc.
