The Division of Professions and Occupations (DPO) protects consumers in the state of Colorado through licensing and regulatory enforcement for approximately 50 professions, occupations, and businesses, and the corollary regulatory environment. The Division of Professions and Occupations provides consumer protection through its regulation of more than 610,000 licensees within more than 50 professions, occupations and businesses in the State of Colorado. The Office of Inspections exists to protect the public by inspecting and conducting drug accountability audits of all outlets as defined in Title 12, Article 280, C.R.S., by enforcing and investigating violations of state and federal laws and regulations governing the practice of pharmacy and the manufacture, distribution, compounding, dispensing, and delivery of pharmaceuticals. Position: SJA 9106 The position implements the objectives of the office of inspections, answers regulatory inquiries, and advises and counseling the public, the pharmaceutical profession and industry, healthcare professionals, and other governmental agencies, including law enforcement. The position independently conducts inspections upon pharmacy board registrants, writes special reports detailing inspection findings, and conducts investigations based upon consumer and/or board-initiated complaints. The position conducts educational outreach, attends Board meetings, and assists in conducting controlled substance accountability audits, as needed. Duties include, but are not limited to: * Assisting other law enforcement agency's investigations by serving as a resource specialist, providing guidance, interpretations and recommendations to others concerning matters in the position's area of expertise; * Communicating and exchanging information with other law enforcement agencies to detect, jointly investigate and promote the prosecution of violators; * Returning calls and emails from Pharmacy Board licensees and registrants or consumers, educating them regarding the enforcement role of the agency; and * Assisting with writing and reviewing all Colorado-based Multi-State Jurisprudence Examination ("MPJE") Questions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (MQs): Education/Licensure/Certification/Experience: * Current, valid licensure as a Pharmacist by the Colorado State Board of Pharmacy. * Four (4) years of practice as a licensed Pharmacist and /or pharmaceutical inspector.
