Sample Management Technician Job Description The Sample Management Technician will be part of a dedicated team responsible for supporting QC sampling operations. This role involves managing the pickup, transport, and processing of GMP manufacturing samples, working closely with the QC Laboratory Support team. PAY - $24-$28/hour Responsibilities * Pickup and transport samples from manufacturing areas to quality control testing and storage areas. * Report sample issues to management according to procedures. * Receive samples into analytical and microbiology laboratories and QC Sample Management storage units. * Manage incoming and outgoing sample shipments. * Sub-aliquot bulk samples in a biological safety cabinet with appropriate gowning. * Login samples into the LIMS system, properly label aliquots, and ensure final storage. * Communicate the status of samples to cross-functional teams. * Support inventory management for team supplies. * Maintain up-to-date training records. * Train department employees in Sample Management tasks. * Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory Practices, and Safety guidelines. * Author Sample Management documents as needed. * Investigate and resolve minor sample management deviations. * Assist with additional laboratory support duties to meet departmental goals. Essential Skills * Quality assurance and quality control expertise. * Experience in sample preparation and management. * Proficiency in lab preparation tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Minimum of high school diploma. * 3 years of experience in a GMP manufacturing facility, preferably in sample management operations. * Experience in a cGMP Quality Control laboratory is a plus. * Familiarity with sample labeling and inventory management systems. * Working knowledge of GMP regulations and cGMP practices. * Understanding of aseptic techniques. Work Environment Two positions available with different schedules. One position is Friday-Monday with 10-hour shifts from 6am-4pm. The second position is Wednesday-Saturday with flexible hours on Wednesday and Thursday between 6-8am, and a 6am start time on Friday and Saturday. Candidates should be comfortable working on computers with various systems and software, including Excel Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
