Community Living Center Medical DirectorLocation: San Francisco VA Health Care SystemSalary: $240,000 - $335,000Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pmAbout the Role:The San Francisco VA Health Care System is seeking a dedicated and experienced physician to serve as the Medical Director for the Community Living Center (CLC). This leadership role supports high-quality, Veteran-centered care within a dynamic interdisciplinary environment.Key Responsibilities:• Provide clinical leadership for CLC providers and staff• Oversee medical care delivery for CLC residents• Support program development and quality improvement initiatives• Ensure compliance with VA standards and accreditation requirements• Collaborate with nursing, social work, rehabilitation, and administrative teams• Participate in strategic planning for Geriatrics & Extended Care servicesQualifications:• MD or DO degree• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (Geriatrics preferred)• Active, unrestricted medical license in the U.S.• Experience in geriatrics, long-term care, or post-acute care strongly preferred• Leadership experience a plusWhy the VA:• Competitive salary and federal benefits• Paid time off, retirement plans, and CME support• Mission-driven work serving our nation's Veterans• Opportunities for academic affiliation and research through UCSF (if applicable)• A supportive, collaborative care environment
