The EHS Specialist will provide oversight and guidance to EHS programs and support corporate initiatives as needed. This position will research EHS standards, make decisions on prioritization of projects, train employees throughout the plant, and promote employee involvement in EHS programs. This role will report into the Niagara Falls Plant Manager. This is a temporary position through 12/31/26, with opportunity for long-term employment.Support implementation and compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.)Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and compliance assessmentsInvestigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; develop corrective and preventative actionsSupport environmental compliance programs including air, water, and hazardous waste managementMaintain the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 300 log and any other applicable internal reporting documentsSupport development of site-specific safety plans and proceduresCollaborate with operations, laboratory personnel, and management to improve safety cultureStay current on regulatory changes and assess impacts to site operationsAssist the on-site Human Resources Manager with any Workers Compensation claimsWhat You'll NeedTo be successful in this position, you must:Hold a bachelor's degree and have 5-7 years of experience in EHS manufacturingDemonstrate competency of OSHA CFR 1910 regulations and interpretationsPossess OSHA Outreach trainer certification for general industry (preferred)Demonstrate creativity in creation of content and communication in the advancement of Human Safety objectivesBe able to lead by example in all areas of EHS as well as other business imperativesHave a strong aptitude for program creation and the ability to enforce these programs and policiesCompensationThis temporary position may be eligible for company benefits in accordance with company policies and applicable eligibility criteria.Interested?
