Responsible for department duties including off loading inbound containers, staging and locating pallets, ensure inbound documentation is correct to product received. Responsible for locating product and handling excess waste, including cartons, shrink wrap, pallets, etc. Ensure product is maintained in safe and orderly manner. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Off load inbound containers, stage and locate product for inventory team. * Ensure all inbound documentation is correct for the product received. * Coordinate with the manager to ensure proper inventory. * Follows all receiving and inventory guidelines, ensuring product is processed correctly. * Recommend new or improved methods, techniques, and procedures for various warehouse processes. * Develop and maintain a good working relationship and open lines of communication with all departments to ensure Department, Company, and Client goals are achieved. * Complies with federal, state, local and anti-trust requirements. * Protects operations by keeping business strategies, trade secrets and financials confidential. * Ensure good housekeeping and safe working conditions in the facility. * All other duties and responsibilities as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES * Good understanding of inventory management * Strong problem-solving skills. * Excellent computer skills. * Ability to communicate clearly and concisely. * Willingness to learn & adapt. * Strong math, reading and writing skills. * Powered Industrial Truck experience is required. * Physical ability to stand for long periods of time. * Physical ability to lift 20 to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. TRAINING and EXPERIENCE * 2-5 years of warehouse experience PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (any specific physical attributes or limiting factors to be accounted for): While performing the duties of this job, the employee will spend a large majority of time walking, standing, and using hands to push/pull. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee is required to independently lift and /or move up to 20 to 50 pounds regularly and part of two-person team up to 100 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee may be exposed to hot or cold temperatures, outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The employee may be exposed to high, precarious places, fumes, or airborne particles.
