Apply now and apply the sunscreen later.HOW YOU WILL DO IT:Scan water and swimmers in the wave pool, lazy river, and many exciting water attractionsMust possess the physical ability to rescue guests and act as first responders providing basic, but critical medical aid to guestAssist guests in and out of rafts and cycle through the line efficientlyProvide guests with a safe and enjoyable ride experienceKeep all midways and slide areas cleanAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentComplete and maintain Ellis & Associates Lifeguard training and certificationUnderstand and perform basic lifeguarding skills, first aid, and CPRStrong attention to detail, not easily distracted, and commitment to safetyFriendly, outgoing personalityPositive attitude to make guests excited about their time within the waterparkMust react well in stressful and emergency situationsQualifications:Must be 16 years of age or older.Must be available to work between the hours of 11 a.m.-8 p.m.Must be able to swim 200 yards, retrieve a 10-pound brick from the bottom of a pool, tread water for two minutes without hands, and lift yourself out of the poolMust successfully complete lifeguard certification training.Minimum 20/25 or 20/25 corrected vision and free from abnormalities of either eye.Excellent verbal communication skillsAble to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, weekends and holidaysThe ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time outdoors in various weather conditions to include extreme heat and sun.OTHER NOTES:All other duties assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole.Reports to Aquatics SupervisorPAID TRAINING! LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATIONS ARE PROVIDED TO YOU AT NO COST.
