Open to Bay Area or Sacramento Locations We are seeking a qualified Mid-Level Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing, managing, and directing geotechnical engineering evaluations for projects of varying complexity. Additionally, they will provide review and oversight of geotechnical engineering practices, assist in technical staff development, and contribute to business development efforts. Key Responsibilities: u00b7 Oversee, manage, and direct geotechnical engineering evaluations for projects with varying complexity. u00b7 Provide review and oversight of geotechnical engineering practices. u00b7 Prepare subsurface investigation proposals and assist in marketing and acquiring subsurface investigations. u00b7 Assist in the technical development of engineering staff. u00b7 Support business development efforts, including attending short-list interviews, reviewing RFPs/RFQs, and developing proposals. u00b7 Collaborate closely with the marketing group to help acquire geotechnical investigation projects. u00b7 Maintain company-established chargeability goals. Requirements Required Competencies: u00b7 Proficiency in both design and construction-related aspects of geotechnical engineering. u00b7 Experience in shallow and deep foundation design, including Caltrans design of bridge foundations, retaining walls, MSE walls, and pavements. u00b7 Familiarity with design of mat-type foundations and development of mat foundation design parameters. u00b7 Proficiency in using Settle3D, Slide, AllPile, L-Pile, Shaft, CLiq, and LiquefyPro. u00b7 Experience with field infiltration testing and development of design infiltration rates. u00b7 Strong technical writing skills. u00b7 Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and potential clients. u00b7 Bacheloru2019s degree and in civil/geotechnical engineering. u00b7 Minimum of 6 years of civil/geotechnical engineering experience. u00b7 California GE registration (Desired) u00b7 Strong verbal and written communication skills. u00b7 Advanced problem-solving abilities. Preferred Competencies: u00b7 Experience in site-specific ground motion studies, including time-history analyses. u00b7 Experience with cement- and lime-treated mix design and field implementation per Greenbook. u00b7 Experience with successful interaction with CGS/DSA/OSHPD/GMED reviewers. u00b7 Experience with successful sales and marketing of government agencies for geotechnical engineering projects. u00b7 Demonstrated successful leadership of a team of engineers/soil technicians.
