You’ll design and program PLCs/HMIs/drives/servos (Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley), set network and server architecture, manage contractors, and collaborate across departments to deliver measurable results.Own end-to-end projects: scope, design, program, test, commission, and hand off to operationsDesign and program PLCs, HMIs, drives, and servos (Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley required)Architect and configure industrial networks and servers that power reliable controls/SCADACoordinate with Maintenance, Process, and Production to ensure consistent data collection, analysis, and actionBuild standardized reporting to evaluate process control systems and minimize variationCreate and enforce SCADA tag naming standards for clean, reusable dataWrite clear technical/contract documents: PWS, SOW, RFPs, purchase requests, contract modifications, technical evaluations, and QA surveillance plansProvide guidance to controls engineers to maintain standardization across lines and equipmentTrain technicians, operators, and engineers on new or improved processes and HMIsStay current through workshops, publications, and professional networks; serve as a technical resource site‑wideManage contractor/vendor relationships to ensure safe, on-time, on-budget project executionDrives the highest levels of employee retention and engagement to ensure a sustainable workforce.Fosters a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the organization.Instills an environment of inclusion, where all employees feel that they can contribute and impact the company in a positive manner.Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Experience:Minimum of five (5) years’ Electrical Engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing and corporate environmentExperience writingKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Hands-on expertise with PLC/HMI design and maintenance; Rockwell (Allen‑Bradley) is a mustStrong background in network configuration/architecture and computer/server setupProficiency with SQL and OSI PI historians for analytics and reportingProficiency with Visual Studio (VB, C#, MVC) and web development (Angular)Clear communicator with strong documentation and presentation skills; able to partner across departmentsStrength in problem solving, troubleshooting, critical thinking, time management, and project managementComfortable working independently, prioritizing multiple projects, and making timely, sound decisionsNice to have: knowledge of production/processing techniques; insulation manufacturing experienceHow you’ll make an impact:Improve safety, quality, uptime, and yield through robust controls and data standardsReduce variability with standardized reporting and SCADA tag governanceAccelerate project delivery by setting clear technical standards and documentationUplift the team through training and consistent engineering practicesIt is the policy of Knauf Insulation to provide equal employment opportunities to all qualified persons without regard to race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, genetic information, disability, protected veteran status or any other protected characteristic prohibited by applicable law.
