Description We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a crucial role in designing, maintaining, and optimizing database systems to ensure efficient data management and access across the organization. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong technical background and a passion for improving database performance and reliability. Responsibilities: u2022 Design and implement robust Database Management Systems (DBMS) to support organizational data needs. u2022 Plan, coordinate, and monitor database-related projects and routine maintenance activities. u2022 Develop strategies to minimize data redundancy and optimize single-source data utilization. u2022 Support development teams by translating logical database designs into physical models and creating database objects using Data Definition Language (DDL). u2022 Implement and manage database backup and recovery procedures, ensuring data restoration capabilities. u2022 Provide 24/7 on-call support to resolve database issues and maintain system reliability. u2022 Monitor and fine-tune databases to ensure optimal performance and response times. u2022 Collaborate with systems development teams to improve application performance using efficient coding techniques. u2022 Participate in DBMS upgrades, including testing, data conversion, and implementation. u2022 Enforce database standards and procedures while maintaining knowledge of emerging technologies and business systems. Other duties as needed Requirements Interviews are currently being conducted, for immediate consideration please apply u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field is preferred. u2022 Industry-level certification in database administration from Microsoft or Oracle is highly desirable. u2022 Minimum of four years of direct experience in database administration, with other IT experience considered. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Database Administration. u2022 Strong skills in performance tuning and data warehousing. u2022 Familiarity with Oracle RDBMS and related technologies. u2022 Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues effectively. u2022 Experience in implementing and maintaining database backup and recovery strategies.
