JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Description: The Product Support Representativerole provides multi-channel, office based technical operating andservice advice to Authorized Service Providers, Dealers and Customers,for efficient issue resolution. The Product Support Representative willact as the direct link between the ASP, Dealers, Customers, and theManufacturing Support teams, including but not limited to Engineering,Technical Publications and Product Management. What you'll do Receivescalls from customers on equipment operating troubles. Interviewcustomers to understand the operating symptoms, then advises thecustomer of the course of action by explaining the possible solution andthe steps that must be taken to restore equipment to safe and efficientoperation. Receive inquiries from customers to obtain warranty andoperating information on Genie products. Supply information to thecustomer verbally, in writing, or by sending materials that respond tothe request. Identify parts and supplies that the customer must have torestore equipment to a safe operational level. Communicate informationon equipment problems or potential enhancements to other teams withinthe company. Occasionally prepares and delivers formal training tocustomers in the safe operation, maintenance, and care of equipment toassure desired operating level and warranty compliance. May travel tocustomer locations on an occasional basis, overseeing and repairingoperational problems with Genie products. Performs other duties asassigned that support the overall objective of the position. Whatyou'll bring 3+ years' experience within the Technical Servicebusiness within the heavy equipment or similar industry. Technicalknowledge of aerial work platforms. Hands-on knowledge of Genie productsis preferred. Ability to explain technical and mechanical concepts tocustomers. Ability to work and organize with minimal guidance based on agood service-oriented attitude. Ability to communicate to internalfunctions through all available mediums. Proficient with MS Officeincluding Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Proficient in the use ofequipment, tools and technology needed to troubleshoot and repair AWPproducts. (computers, hand tools and digital devices). Good verbal andwritten communication skills. Ability to manage expectations andeffectively convey customer needs to colleagues and functions throughoutthe company. Must be a team player and 100% results orientated andability to work under pressure Must be able to learn and maintain abroad knowledge of the manufacturer's new and recent products.Demonstrate time management and organizational skills.
