From performing interventions to making referrals for inpatient or outpatient care, your position will offer you the capacity to help individuals every day.ResponsibilitiesYou will manage the mental and emotional health of each consumer as needed in coordination with the allied providersYou will complete risk assessmentsYou will develop safety plans with consumers and their natural supports as neededYou will screen and refer patients with drug and/or alcohol problemsYou will coordinate ongoing inpatient psychiatric care for voluntary patientsYou will determine the need and facilitate requests to the Designated Crisis Responder when an involuntary detainment evaluation is indicatedYou will represent MHS and Behavioral Healthcare to community groups or individuals representing health care or mental health servicesRequirementsMaster's degree in a related fieldA Mental Health Professional as defined within HB 1724 one of these higher credentials are held: Counselor Agency Affiliated Licensed, Marriage & Family Therap Assoc (LMFTA), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), SW Advanced Lic (LASW), SW Associate Advanced License (LSWAA), Mental Health Counselor Assoc (LMHCA), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC),SW Associate Advanced License (LSWAA), SW Advanced Lic (LASW), SW Assoc Independent Clinical Lic (LSWAIC), SW Independent Clinical Lic (LICSW)Previous Crisis experience preferredAbility to work flexible shifts including nightsDrivers License/AbstractAbout Tacoma General HospitalMultiCare Tacoma General Hospital, in the heart of Tacoma, WA, is a 367-bed regional medical center delivering cutting-edge care.
