Event Medicine Specialist I provide on-site medical care during mass gathering events (e.g., sporting events, concerts, or other recreational gatherings). Whether you're stabilizing a patient in a packed stadium or coordinating with first responders at a city-wide celebration, your impact will be immediate and meaningful._ Minimum Qualifications + Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent. + Experience: One year of BLS-level experience as a released attendant-in-charge. + Licensure/Certifications: Virginia Department of Health Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Advanced EMT (AEMT) certification. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Unrestricted Valid Driveru2019s License (VADL) and at least 2 years of driving experience required. Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC) Class II or higher required within 90 days of employment. Physical Demands u2013 Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/traveling, climbing (ladder, steps), and driving. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull > 100lbs. May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold, heat, noise, outdoor climate, blood/body fluids and infectious disease. Onboarding Requirements Background checks and pre-employment health screenings will be conducted on all new hires prior to employment. All safety-sensitive positions with direct patient interaction also require a drug screen. The starting base rate for this role is $17.00 hourly.
