Description: This Classified IT Operations position supports Lockheed Martin Space. The selected candidate will be responsible for upgrades, operations and maintenance, hardware and software installations, and service requests (servers, workstations, containers, networking, and storage), as well as continuity of operations (backups and verified restore capabilities). In this position, the chosen candidate will utilize their system administration and architecture skills as primary IT support for several classified environments. u2022Candidate must have a TS/SCI security clearance with an active CI Poly u2022Install/configure Linux operating systems and software applications u2022Perform periodic audits of system security settings u2022Install operating system security patches and firmware updates u2022Create/manage security groups u2022Coordinate hardware repair activities u2022Diagnose and resolve hardware/software problems/issues u2022Create scripts to automate system administration tasks u2022Provision virtual environments using VMware Basic Qualifications: u2022 Must have an Active TS/SCI clearance with a CI Poly u2022 Must be a U.S. Citizen u2022 Must have a DoD 8572 qualified certification such as CompTIA Security+ (or be able to acquire within 60 days) u2022 Direct work experience with Operating System life cycle management and configuration management (i.e., Installation/Upgrades, System Imaging, Account Management, SSSD and LDAP, Hardware Modernization, Performance Monitoring, Ansible, etc.) u2022 Direct work experience using and administrating Unix or Linux Operating Systems u2022 Direct work experience with scripting and automation (i.e., Ansible, Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.) u2022 Must have a solid understanding of Linux file permissions, and log-file troubleshooting tactics. u2022Knowledge of VMware for virtualization of servers Desired Skills: u2022Knowledge of National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) Requirements u2022Direct work experience interfacing with vulnerability remediation tools and security management tools used for system hardening, log management. and configuration management (ex: Nessus, McAfee, WSUS, Yum/DNF, SCCM, Ivanti, Shavlik, Blade Logic, Splunk, ACAS, SCAP, HBSS, etc.) u2022Knowledge of container creation and management (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, etc.) u2022Knowledge of DevOps tools (Git, GitLab, BitBucket, etcu2026) u2022Experience with HPC systems u2022Knowledge of Linux authentication with Active Directory (SSSD) u2022Experience with OpenShift or similar kubernetes platforms u2022Experience building and managing Podman or Docker containers Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidateu2019s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
